Hey! Planning a big BBQ this weekend and my gas grill just won’t ignite. Tried everything — new propane tank, cleaning burners, nothing works. Really embarrassed cause already invited like 20 people.Need someone who can fix it fast and doesn’t charge crazy prices. Thanks!

Hey! I’ve been in that exact panic mode before a BBQ. Last summer I had 15 people coming over and my grill just clicked, clicked… nothing. Turns out the electrode wire had come loose inside. I tried YouTube fixes, but ended up calling a local mobile repair guy who came same-day and fixed it for like $80. If you’re pressed for time, I’d try https://highcityappliance.com/service/grill-and-barbeque-repair they do grill and BBQ repair and can usually come out fast without charging crazy prices. Saved my weekend last year. In the meantime, check if you hear a spark at the burner when you press the button. If you do, try lighting manually with a long lighter. If no spark, it’s likely the igniter module or battery. Sometimes just swapping the AA battery fixes it. But if you’re short on time, better to call a pro. Good luck!

I wouldn’t give up on it just yet. My grill stopped igniting right before a family cookout, and I was convinced it was something expensive. It ended up being a small ignition problem that was fixed much faster than I expected. I found High City Appliance while looking for local grill repair, and they explained what was wrong before doing any work, which I appreciated. If you’re in a hurry, it’s worth having someone check it instead of spending hours troubleshooting on your own.
