Those aren’t my speeds… don’t know what you’re talking about and why you’re responding to this thread….

Hey guys, I finally figured it out and reinstalled Android LOL… turns out I needed some fucking “Custom_Config.ini” file. The Chinese flashing tutorial included in the downloads section did not mention this very important step.

Good to hear you figured it out. Do you mind please sharing where you got the “Custom_Config.ini” file so that others don’t have to go through the same hassle?

I’ve attached it to this post. It wasn’t available on this site, I got it from the Chuwi website. Maybe Chris should put this in the downloads section for Hi8.

After you download it, put it into the install directory of Manufacturing Flash Tool (use this tool to flash Android, NOT intel phone flash tool!). No USB drive or hub needed, just put your tablet into DnX mode, then flash from your PC using Manufacturing Flash Tool (you get this on Chuwi’s website too, it’s in the 26MB zip file). Make sure you’ve installed the Intel-Android USB drivers & iSoC USB drivers prior to flashing, and make the correct settings in Manufacturing Flash Tool as shown in the Chinese tutorial pictures.

WARNING: I will not be responsible for any damage you do to your device! Do this at your own risk.

    Hi

i was hoping you could help, I’ve downloaded the Android files from this site and found the additional software to reimage my Hi8 but whenever I kick off the reimage process it fails straight away.
