HDMI not connecting to TV

I hoped to try out the HDMI connection to my smartTV but so far I have not got it to work. It is enabled on the TV but in the PC Settings my Cube cannot find the ‘second screen’. I have followed various accounts of what to do. One suggestion is that the Display driver may need updating but all my drivers were updated by an MS tech only about a month ago, and Driver Booster lists it as up to date. Am I likely to get any help from DoAll Cube —- I have not had a response re other issues before.

Advice would be welcome.
