Download the Hi8 Android ROM from the downloads section of this website. Then flash using MFT.
To use Manufacturing Flash Tool with Chuwi Hi8:
- Make sure Intel-Android driver (IntelAndroidDrvSetup 1.10.0) & iSoC USB driver (iSocUSB-Driver-Setup-1.2.0) are both installed.
- Download Custom_Config.ini from the link below.
- Extract it from the .zip file and put it in the Manufacturing Flash Tool’s install directory.
- Change your Manufacturing Flash Tool settings accordingly as shown in the Chinese tutorial provided in the downloads section for the Hi8.
- Load the flash.xml from your android ROM using Manufacturing Flash Tool.
- Plug in your tablet in DnX mode and wait for flash to complete.

NOTE: You will have to reinstall Windows after performing these steps. You’ll need a USB hub and USB drive to install Windows.

December 15, 2015 at 10:52 am #18683Hi, Not sure if you solved your issue. I had to flash android because I had issues after rooting. I downloaded the android rom from this site. Then placed the config file. Got the manufacturing flash tool from here http://chinagadgetsreviews.blogspot.com/2015/02/intel-android-drivers-tools.html
Extract it then install both Intel driver & isoc. Install Manufacturing Flash Tool. Put your tablet in dnx mode. You can do this but turning off tablet and then pressing power button & volume up at the same time. The screen will say Entering Dnx mode or something. Then open manufacturing flash tool. Go to settings and change the settings as in the screenshots from The chinese guide. then Open the flash.xml. You can see the steps in chinese screenshots. Then plug your tablet it will start flashing. After flashing android, windows stopped booting I guess I have to install it again. Will try it. But Android works just fine. Hope it helps!
Cheers!
