Hello,
I haven’t been able to get the HDMI port to work on my Vi10. I have tried two different cables (which both work with other devices), I’ve tried two different televisions, I’ve tried android and windows. Nothing.
When I look in my device manager I can’t see HDMI anywhere. Could someone please open their device manager and tell me if the HDMI port is listed under Display Adapters or something similar?
Many thanks,
Steve.

You need to go into the display settings and enable the secondary display. I also found that my Vi10 would not display on HDMI, with known good cable, unless I booted the tablet with it connected and the TV already on.

I have adjusted the display settings to project to a second screen. I also tried your suggestion of having the TV plugged in and turned on before I boot the tablet. No luck.
I’m stumped. I don’t fancy my chances doing a warranty claim with Gearbest but I think I might have to try, the HDMI was one of the main features for my purposes.
October 18, 2015 at 1:00 pm #13516The TV does need to be on for most HDMI outputs. Its a handshake thing, if it isn’t on when the HDMI signal is sent then the device will default to using another display port. Like Zellot has said.
Is it a Panasonic TV you are trying to use? I know that my devices will all HDMI out, unless to my main Panasonic screen. Just can’t get them working with that and have put it down to the TV itself.
October 18, 2015 at 1:20 pm #13518Funny you should say that, mine is a Panasonic. I had heard they have troubles with XBox’s.
But I also tried on my friend’s very early model Samsung and still no joy.
October 18, 2015 at 1:29 pm #13519Ah, another issue then.
My 360/X1 and my HDMI output from my HTPC are all fine with the Panny. However use a tablet (we have 3 in the house all different makes) or a Laptop (2 in the house) none of them play ball with the HDMI out on the Panny. Every other TV I have ever used, in the house and on holiday all work with the same cable.
