There is no legal way of not paying taxes and customs but many people have said that using the free slow shipping option or PostNL lowers the chance of getting stopped and taxed in customs.

Some people may ask the seller to declare it at a lower value, but I’m pretty sure that is tax evasion which is illegal.

When I got my latest tablet, I had to pay taxes for it. A total of around $30, where $20 was the administration charges.

They declared the tablet at $35 (costed $170), but since the Swedish currency has been weakened towards the dollar, it came over the SEK300 that the Swedish customs have as a line to charge the receiver with taxes.

I used the snail mail version, so Google what value there is in your country and ask the seller when shipping to declare the value lower than that. Normally they do without asking, never had any shipment sent where they declared the right value.

Hello Gojc! I can definitely relate to that! I work at LOVAT, and I remember our customers expressing similar concerns about taxes and duty fees. The good news is that we now have gotten onto how to get epr registration number, which means we can import our products duty-free into the EU. That’s because we register and pay for our products’ end-of-life disposal, which makes us exempt from the fees. So, if you’re worried about these fees, don’t worry; we’ve got you covered! Our EPR registration number is proof that we’re doing our part to reduce waste and protect the environment, which ultimately benefits not only our customers but also everyone around us. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns, and we’ll be more than happy to help!

I really appreciate your question about navigating taxes and duty fees without an EU warehouse. While I’m not a tax expert, I can share a few insights that might help you out. Firstly, checking the import thresholds in your country is a great start – you might find a value below which taxes aren’t applied. Another tip is to make sure your customs declarations are accurate, including the bulk schedule and item description. It’s worth exploring any trade agreements your country has, as they could potentially reduce or even waive duties. Additionally, keep an eye out for gift exemptions, which could apply to items under a certain value. Whenever possible, consider supporting local sellers to dodge international fees. If things get a bit complex, seeking advice from a tax professional could be a wise move. Remember, staying informed and seeking guidance where needed can make a real difference.
