I’ve successfully been in contact with Teclast via there Facebook page. I would try there.
January 20, 2018 at 7:54 pm #77395Ok, thank you. Unfortunately, I don’t have a facebook account (and don’t want one) – but the wife has one, so maybe I’ll try from her account.
Thanks for the reply.
January 29, 2018 at 10:02 pm #77921Man, really NOT happy with this Teclast Tbook 16 power tablet… I was “lured” by the faster processor (faster than x8300/x8350 dual-boot tablets) and the fact that it has Android 6 instead of Android 5 – but it has a few major issues in Android…
- In Android, the device never enters “deep sleep”, which obviously caused a lot of battery drain when not being used. So I spent countless hours determining *why* it doesn’t enter deep sleep (OTG wakelock) – and then more hours fixing it (disabling the OTG wakelock at boot). However, I now have other issues (see #2).
- Since fixing the device so that Android now goes into deep sleep properly (which does save TONS of battery when not being used), now the tablet sometimes doesn’t wake up after entering deep sleep!
So I either have a device that drains battery too quickly at idle – or have a device the sips battery, but then sometimes never wakes up. Damned if I do and damned if I don’t.
Teclast is completely un-responsive as well.
Oh – I almost forgot – when the device is plugged in to AC power in Windows and becomes fully charged, it switches over to “battery” mode and stays there (thereby changing your settings like screen brightness and performance to the battery mode!)… So many little glitches like that… I have the M6F8 model of the Tbook 16 Power, for what it’s worth.
Let me save you some hassle – do NOT buy any of these Teclast dual-boot devices! The Android ROM’s are riddled with issues, there is no support and you also cannot download the firmware from Teclast… STAY AWAY!
The Chuwi dual-boot devices that I’ve tried are much better from a tablet perspective, but their keyboards suck (on the Hi10 Plus and Hi12) – the only one that has a decent keyboard is the Hi10 Pro…
Still looking for that “perfect” dual-boot device! 🙂 I’d like an 11.6″ or 12″ dual-boot device, but I haven’t found one with a decent keyboard dock yet… If you know of one, please let me know! 🙂
