Hello guys,
I’ve recieved my Hi10 Pro just a few days ago… It’s got several weaknesses but most of them are bearable.
But that WiFi as it is now is a nightmare! First the speeds are pretty much crap. But since it’s enough for 1080P Youtube streaming, I could live with that. But the distance is unbelievable bad!
At my home, in my room, I’m one flour over the router and while any other device I habe (Smartphones, other Tablet, TV, Notebook) have good connections with good speeds (My Asus Notebook is at this distance even Capable of 4K Streaming), the Chuwi Tablet is barely capable of a fucking google search. Not to mention to download something. But at least I could do a poor solution at home, installing another Repeater (wich still sucks though, since WiFi is actually alright there).
I need Wifi at University. With my Phone and my Notebook, I got great Wifi Connections in all buldings. The Network is defenetly a very good one. The Chuwi sucks pretty hard there, too. It can connect to the Network, and many spots it’s working fine, but in pretty much any room, I really have to get in, the Wifi is dead for it.
It also appears, that chuwi hasn’t provided new drivers or anything like that for now. So flashing sutff shouldn’t solve anything. I also have this problem with both android and windows…
Do you have found any fixes on the WiFi? I could use a OTG adapter with a WiFi Dongle, but seriously, this is pretty much the worst solution for such a problem, ever. looks crappy, and takes away one port.
Greetings,
Thomas
Edit: Just for comparation, I’ve testet my network Speeds on exactly the same Spot, with speedtest.net.
On the Chuwi I got on Windows 23,06mbps Down and 12,21Mbps up. On Android 24,53MbPs down and 29,75Mbps up.
On my Samsung Galaxy S4 62,33Mbps Down and 25,57Mbps up. And My Acer Aspire E17 pretty much killed it with 93,37Mbps Down and 36,62 Up. But I’m not suprised that my phone and Notebook where (way) better since those are capable of 5ghz and Wlan Ac. But the distance is still remarkable shorter.
Oh and since I’ve heard often that WiFi suffers on those devices, if Bluetooth is turned on, it’s turned off.
