Hi, it’s a preinstall screen protector that scratches very easy!

Next up for review:
Ordered and waiting for my: BMAX S15 & Teclast F6 Plus
Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30July 12, 2015 at 5:34 pm #6827Do you think I can simply take another screen protector with roughly the same size,` remove the current one and replace it? (I am never gonna use the cam so I don’t really care about covering it up)
July 29, 2015 at 1:58 am #7746I thought it had a plastic screen till I figured it out. I take care of my items Si I just pitched the plastic protector
July 29, 2015 at 2:35 pm #7770So is it easily removeable or do I risk something with trying to get it off? Would like to know even though I am still waiting for my tablet to arrive. 🙂
July 30, 2015 at 12:40 pm #7853It’s just a screen protector, you’re not going to hurt a single speck of anything peeling it off. Â Just tear that thing right off. Â It’s held on by static, not glue or anything
January 21, 2016 at 11:24 am #23216Has anyone had any experience with applying a tempered glass screen protector on the chuwi tablets? Such as this
There are mixed reviews and I’ve seen a video of it not applying evenly to the laminated screen. I will be trying this soon, but I’d like to hear from someone before I remove a perfectly good plastic screen protector 🙂
January 25, 2016 at 7:24 pm #23670If anyone is interested, the glass screen protector listed here works well, and has no troubles attaching to the laminated screen. Enjoy ☺
January 26, 2016 at 4:22 pm #23870So you did not remove the laminated plastic screen protector?
January 26, 2016 at 4:34 pm #23872The stock screen protector was removed- perhaps I have a terminology problem here. That thing was scratched up and would be silly to put anything over the top.
January 26, 2016 at 8:54 pm #23888I also bought a protector. So is the answer that there is a cheap one pre installed that can be removed?? Simple answer please

Simple answer: Yes.
January 27, 2016 at 12:41 pm #23923Yes, there is a cheap screen protector on the tablet, use a straight pin on the corner of the tablet to carefully lift it up.
I also bought a glass screen protector from Amazon – DOMITREE 8 inch Hi8 2.5D Glass Screen Protect Film for Chuwi Hi8 tempered glass screen Protector. It works, but there is trapped air all the way around at the edge of the screen.

Yeah, I had read about that and was worried about it, hence the posts. However, I have no air bubble around the edges, and it is much nice to work on with the glass.
The only downside to the protector I bought is that the dimensions are about 0.5mm too short for a flush finish. Not too bad though.
February 15, 2016 at 12:53 am #26016I installed a glass screen protector too…easy to install and looks great. Â I think the reason for the slightly smaller dimension than a flush fit is to permit it to snap into cases with a built-in frame.
I also noticed that the additional glass virtually eliminates the “touching” issues of the non-laminated screen.
