Provatta,
Regarding the HiBook Pro WiFi, make sure that in Windows:
- You have the latest driver (3008.31.401.2016, dated 4/29/2016). It is available on the Chuwi site.
- You go into the driver -> advanced tab, enable antenna diversity (why? I don’t know) and select bandwidth to be 20 MHz only.
This should help, and that’s the good news. The bad news is that on some of the later builds, Chuwi have omitted some key components of the RF / antenna chain, namely an MHF4 receptacle. This results in less-than-perfect gain on the WiFi antenna. I have this situation, and am working on an inexpensive fix. But very frankly, this is inexcusably sloppy work on Chuwi’s part. I’ll let you know once I have the fix in hand.
One thing I strongly recommend is to download the free “WiFi Analyzer” app from the Windows store and see what your signal strength is. If it is significantly less than -60 dB, you will have problems.
Good luck and stay tuned,
Willie
December 22, 2016 at 5:01 am #59063Hi Willie!
Thank you for your answer.
I tried to find the wifi driver but it has been impossible. I already tried before creating this thread.
Could you please provide me the URL to the driver, please?
Anyways, it seems I have the latest driver though:

I tried what you suggested regarding the antenna diversity and bandwith and (maybe is my imagination but) I noticed I can stay connected for more time between disconnections, although the issue is still there disturbing me :/
About the Wifi Analyzer, I downloaded it and I’ve got ~64db.
Cheers!
December 22, 2016 at 6:15 pm #59102It does look like you have the latest drivers. However, the general page to get Chuwi software releases for the HiBook Pro is:
http://forum.chuwi.com/thread-2009-1-1.html
and the general password to get access is “en.chuwi.com”.

Hi Willie, thanks for your help 🙂
It has been impossible to solve those disconnections. I’m using at the moment a USB antenna to be able to use the network properly.
I still have to test if it works as it should on Android. I’m afraid about the problem being something related to hardware (because the Tablet is new).Do you know any Hibook Pro users with this problem? How about you?
I’ll update with the Android test.
Greetings and Merry Christmas 🙂
December 27, 2016 at 11:39 am #59331As I thought, this behaviour does not happen on Android, only on Windows.
I tried a lot of different versions of the driver but any of them seem to work.
Pretty depressing.
February 24, 2017 at 8:12 pm #62676Hi
same problem here.
Chuwi highbook pro, WLAN problems only on windows, really slow and bad connection, analyzer shows also -64dB and I am sitting 2m away from wlan station.
i also tried to install the altest bios, no success, also a later driver than chuwi offers, still same problem.
on android wlan works pefect, any ideas what else can be done ? anyone got it to run properly ?
All suggestions from this post already tried, without success 🙁
March 4, 2017 at 8:00 am #62996It is no hardware problem. The WIFI performance in Android is OK.
I downgraded the driver to version 3008.30.315.2016. This change made the wifi performance in Windows acceptable for me.
March 21, 2017 at 6:38 pm #63777Hey Provatta, are you still facing the windows 10 wifi disconnects frequently problem. I think I have got the solution for you. Goto Start menu > Settings>Network and Internet > Wifi > Manage wifi settings>wifi sense and now disable all the options that you see here. Hopefully your device will connect just fine. Do give your feedback.

I`ll need to create a Microsoft account to edit those settings. I’ll check later, thank you in advance, although I guess is something related to the driver or the hardware.
