Open the tablet and check the antenna cable. For sure it will be lost…
May 18, 2016 at 11:06 am #37818I should’ve noted that this only occurs on Windows 10, on Android it seems to be fine.

This has not sense…
Could you try with another security option??? (if you are using WPA2 change to WPA or WEP, or OPEN, just for testing if it’s signal problem or security problem)
May 18, 2016 at 5:16 pm #37847You’re not running any Bluetooth devices under Windows are you? A keyboard will affect WIFI performance…something like a mouse or a bluetooth speaker will kill your connection completely.

This doesn’t really seem like a solution to my issue.

I’m not using any Bluetooth device nor do I have Bluetooth enabled. It rather seems to me like a driver issue, however being completely close my AP offers a somewhat bearable connection. (I do get really shitty latency times though)
Should I contact Teclast regarding this issue? Am I the only one experiencing this?
May 19, 2016 at 8:14 am #37899WiFi works fine for me under both OS.
I’m running the latest build of Win10 as well.
If it works under android it’s gotta be a driver or software issue.
What exactly are you experiencing?
May 19, 2016 at 10:13 am #37906My latency fluctuates between 30 to 200ms whereas I get <30ms on other WiFi devices. Sometimes the connection also just drops or timeouts.

Are you running the Win10 that came with the tablet? What model do you have? I noticed that Android seems snappier…but haven’t noticed any latency issues and I’ve never been dropped from my wifi that I can recall.
May 19, 2016 at 9:26 pm #37971I actually reset Win10 and afterwards installed Win10 Pro. Why should that be an issue though?

How did you get the drivers reinstalled?
May 21, 2016 at 3:02 pm #38132I used the drivers from Techtablets.
May 21, 2016 at 5:27 pm #38153Hi,
I had Wifi issues, too at my X98 plus A6C9. They revealed e.g. by frequent connection drops or poor connection bandwith to my router (e.g. 1 MBit/s).
Accidentally today I opened in Windows 10 the device manager, right-clicked in the device tree on Firmware and then on System Firmware. After that in the context menu I clicked on Update Driver. Unexpectedly the message showed that the driver (System Firmware) has been updated and I should restart Windows.
During reboot it showed, that the System Firmware (Bios?) was being updated…
Now the name of the entry in the Device Manager below Firmware has changed from System Firmware to Teclast System Firmware.
By the way I noticed that the Wifi connection got much better (e.g. 72 MBit/s) with no connection interrupts.
Anyway I’m wondering why I had to trigger the update manually as I have configured Windows to update all drivers automatically..
May 30, 2016 at 9:31 am #39119I noticed the Realtek wifi card dropping out sometimes, not very often .. But when it does, requires disabling and re-enabling. Not much info in the event log, it only says there was issue with driver. I have latest driver, didn’t try downgrading.
Orher commebts about this tablet – I compared experience with Onda v919 Ch 3G Dual here:

I did the same and now cellular can’t be turned on, it’s turned off and there’s no connect button. Driver update doesn’t find anything and I haven’t noticed any difference in the Wifi connection or its speed, it still stays around 30 MBit/s.
Edit:
I rolled back the firmware and uninstalled the cdc mbim driver. Now the cellular is functioning again but the speed is also quite terrible, max 4MBit/s.
July 18, 2016 at 7:53 am #43793I have done the same, except I can’t get 3G to work again at all. I tried to uninstall the CDC MBIM driver but it doesn’t seem to uninstall. That is, it says it’s uninstalled, but when you reboot it’s back again. Anyone able to help as this tablet is pretty useless to me without 3G.
