    Very happy to hear it.

Did you use the MFTFix.zip or did you flash from droidboot ?

I used the mft fix, however I copied the files manually.

That’s cool. I was hoping you would say that.

The only reason the script has to run as admin is it gets access denied trying to copy to the Program Files folder otherwise

Anyone with the problem you are having can download this file: http://techtablets.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/IFWIFIX.zip Extract it to a folder on their PC. Right click on the batch file and Run as administrator. Then Try flashing with MFT normally

Randy, I set up an account just to thank you for the time and effort you put into this thread. I also had the same problem as the other user and, following your steps, I was able to get Remix up and running on my Air II. Do you have a Paypal, so I can buy you a beer?

I’m glad to hear it Jay. What do you think of that remix OS ? I hear it’s pretty nice. I actually was thinking about flashing it just to see how it runs.

I appreciate your offer. If you really want to, my paypal is under my email, [email protected], but it’s really not necessary. I really enjoy helping people, so just seeing that I helped someone is it’s own reward. I am glad you were able to flash remix. The stock android ROMs that come with the X98 are really pretty lame.

Very iOSish, as in very clean, but not very customizable. It took a little work to get Google services up and running and I’m still trying to get the Play Store to recognize my purchased apps. It’s really weird with Google stuff. The taskbar and multitasking is really, really nice though the more time I spend with it.

    In that case, go here:

Select your model and choose one of Mirek’s ROMs. Personally, I am running V3 Lollipop and I like it a lot.

Remix OS is a nice change, good for multitasking. Nice fresh look to it. But @j-bright is correct, Google Play and Play services if not preinstalled (Which it isn’t on the Teclast roms I’ve seen) is a hassle to set up. And when looking at your apps, purchases didn’t show up. You had to go via the Google Play website and then login and get them to install to your device. Bit of a hassle, but a work around that did work.

I’m just downloading Mirek190’s latest and great V4.2 and will mirror it here to. Looking forward to see the improvements. His roms make me still want to use Android on my X98 Air II/3G. If not I can’t stand Telasts laggy stock rom. Nice Tablets Teclast make, but Chuwi, Cube and Pipo Android roms are very Nexus/Stock Android and launchers which are much better.

Guys, if you’re interested, I got the purchases working. The trick is going into the power management app and allowing Google services and the Play Store to run in the background. Now that I have that sorted, I’m really liking the rom. Almost everything I’ve downloaded from the store can open in a multitask window. It still needs a ton more customization options though.

@tecknight Yes Remix 1.0 is based on 4.4.4, and Remix 1.5 (just released) is now built on Android 5.1.

Chris, Your WordPress is messing up big time. The only way I could login is to use google.

I tried to login with my password and it kept telling me that I got the captcha wrong.

I got the capcha right however and the captcha wouldn’t change. Then I tried a password reset and it didn’t ask me what to set the password to. It just said password reset successful and it did change the password, but I have no idea what it is now
