I’ve updated my bios, all’s fine, but before an upgrade, a wipe, I would like to backup my apps and personnal data.
Sounds like this machine is impossible to root for that, I’ve tested several common rooting tools, without succes …
All backup tools without root are pretty limited, useless …
Sorry if it’s a dummy question, How do you backup before an update ?

Nota : My machine is the X98 Air 3G C5J6

I’ve used Easus To Do Backup (free version) to make an image to a sd-card

    Thanks Arco,
The purpose of an image is to restore it, not to restore some user parameters and data.
But perhaps I miss something ?

    Please see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZML-usE6tk & https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jWIAUQj1YU.

These videos are quite old but the logic should be the same.

However, not sure how this will impact the Android side.

If you want to backup only app and data on android you could use the adb tools

In a terminal use “adb backup -all” to create a backup.ab file and “adb restore backup.ab” to restore it.
