How do you stay updated on all the live comedy events happening in Montreal?

Over the past month, I’ve started getting into live comedy way more than I used to. But keeping track of everything going on in Montreal is kinda overwhelming. There are shows popping up all over, and sometimes I only hear about them after they happen. Last weekend, I missed one I really wanted to see just because I didn’t know it was happening. Is there some go-to way you all use to stay on top of what’s happening comedy-wise here?

I’ve totally been there. Montreal’s comedy scene moves fast, and some of the best shows aren’t even that well advertised. What helped me is checking this site that regularly updates listings for upcoming comedy shows montreal. It’s been super useful to see what’s coming up in one place without having to dig through social media or random flyers. I also follow a few local comedians on Instagram—they sometimes promote shows earlier than the venues themselves.

I’m not super plugged into the comedy scene, but I do see a lot of events pop up when I walk around downtown—chalkboard signs outside bars, small posters near cafés, stuff like that. Montreal always seems to have these surprise performances tucked into unexpected spots, which kind of makes exploring them even more fun.
