How scratch-proof is the screen?

I’ve been using it with out a screen protector for a few months. Haven’t had a scratch yet. But I do keep it in the magnetic cover or the keyboard dock always.

It does look better and feels better IMO.

I guess what I’m driving at is this: Are screen protectors just a gimmick? Maybe 20 years ago, they are a help. But I hear that phone/tablet screens today are tough enough.

Well, I think that it’s not a gimmick if you accidentally drop your tablet. Any layer of protection will help keep the screen stay together and not shatter everywhere.

But if you take care of your tablet, you won’t miss the screen protector.

I haven’t used a screen protector in my tablets yet. But if I drop them… I’m sure it’s gonna be messy. 😉

I’m not really concerned with the mess that comes from a fall.
I’m concerned with keeping my display from getting scratched. That’s what I’m asking about. 🙂
