@brad I needed to install Kali as we are going to do experiments at school. I can’t manage to get it installed. Is there some special boot command that I can use, just like for installing Manjaro, to get it to work? Much appreciated!
I don’t know anything about Kali. But it is a Debian based distro so probably you will have to use Linuxium’s ISO respin script to make it work. This is how to make Ubuntu flavors work and they are also Debian based distro’s.

Ok, I understand. I tried the script, but I get an error message saying only Ubuntu flavoured distros are supported I’m afraid.

January 22, 2018 at 9:28 pm #77520I installed Manjaro on the m.2 ssd, but when I reboot with the refind usd stick, it doesn’t show the installation so that I can boot it. It only shows windows. Any ideas?

What version of rEFInd did you install on the USB stick? If you’re not using v0.11.0 or v0.11.2 try one of those. That is what I used in this post: https://techtablets.com/forum/topic/how-to-install-manjaro-linux-on-jumper-ezbook-3-pro-v4/#post-75167
January 23, 2018 at 4:18 am #775330.11.2 as you suggested.
ok now we have another problem.
i created another efi partition on the m.2 and installed but refind could not see Manjaro.
Then I formated the ssd again and used the efi partition of windows on the emmc.
Now refind (still sunning from from usb ) sees the Manjaro installation but when I select it it does not boot. Instead I get a grub error
January 23, 2018 at 4:41 am #77534At the refind boot screen (still running from usb , since I cannot boot into Linux to install it) I see windows and underneath it says “ boot Microsoft EFI boot from SYSTEM”.
I also see Manjaro and underneath it says “Boot EFI\Manjaro\grubx64.efi from SYSTEM.
now when I select Manjaro I get
error: no such device: 7d8e…..
error:unknown file system.
i suspect a faulty m.2 ssd….. or maybe it cannot find the kernel to boot????
any ideas???
January 23, 2018 at 7:26 am #77540ok … so couldn’ t wait and
1. wiped out all partitions, including windows on emmc.
2. followed Brad’s guide.
3. created new efi partition on emmc,
4. /root (25gb), /swap (6gb) and /home (rest of the gbs) on emmc and /data on m.2 ssd (m.2 shows allot of problems with bad sectors so not worth the risk)
5. Installed normally.
6. Booted with usb refind and installed refind.SUCCESS!!!! It boots normally minus some errors during boot (probably have to do with m.2)
TRACKPAD WORKS FLAWLESSLY!!!!!!
All devices work flawlessly. Wifi has strong signal.Advice:
Depending of the edition of manjaro you have downloaded, you hat to change the bold part accordingly.In my case:
misobasedir=manjaro misolabel=MJRO1704 linux=boot\vmlinuz-x86_64 initrd=boot\initramfs-x86_64.imghad to be
misobasedir=manjaro misolabel=MJRO1711 linux=boot\vmlinuz-x86_64 initrd=boot\initramfs-x86_64.imgJanuary 24, 2018 at 9:23 pm #77617Dear Dimitrios,
