How to turn off charging LED indicator?

There is an LED indicator on the top of the tablet, and it blinks when the tablet is charging and it keeps turned on when the tablet is fully charged.

I tried to turn off the indicator and failed. Looks like the indicator is hard-wired to the charging circuit.

Is there any way to turn that off? Even if I have to open up the tablet to turn that thing off, I will.

ONly way I see how is removing it. Opening it up and unsolder it, not sure what effect that would have.

I don’t own a Hi8 but maybe you can get something like a leather case to cover it up? Too much hassle just to open the tablet and un-solder the LED

I knowI’m too paranoid, but you still can see the red light even after I cover up the led because of the glass(or plastic). You know, the light still grows thru the glass(or plastic, again)
