NOT working. Erases, reads zero, ok. Flashes, verify fails, and the reason for verify fail is that only the start of the device range gets flashed, then its zero to the end.

Laptoo says nothing, black screen. With original bios or the older one “jumper.rom”.

    WTF.

Maybe it is the prommer… Elnec’s website says that beeprog+ supports that chip but no word of the oldest beeprog -model.

Forget verify, CH programmer fails too. I never cared about it. Just flash and check, if BIOS boots, you can reflashs with same dump file with UEFI prompt, to be sure.

Sorry, not seen all messeges. So 2 things can be:

    1. programmer is not ok for that chip.
    2. use very short wires

Ps: With CH programmer verify was not ok, but PC-s, tablets booted. Because of that i made UEFI reflash via command line to be sure. But all was other type of chips not that, i do not know for sure, that CH programmer will be OK for that chip, theoretically yes, because it is in the support list.

I shortened the wires in half, no difference. Maybe I’ll just wait for the CH-programmer.

Got the prommer working! It was connected with parallel cable to pc and swapped it to usb cable. Now flashing and verifying is ok but laptop wont work. Black screen. Then what…

One thing I dont understand… Buffer range of the promming software is up to 7FFFFF but device programming range is FFFFF. And I cant set it to 7FFFFF. Maybe it just flashes up to FFFFF and thats it. Strange…

Yes, should be. Somewhere must be set the range to 7FFFFF. This is the reason why the lapotop not powers up. I never faced dutch problem, just programmed with CH and profit. I do not know this  Elnec software.

Juha, sadly i can’t help with reprogramming the chip but i wish you good luck! Hopefully it works.

Just wanted to say that i think your initial flashing problem was caused by trying to flash your V4.5 with the V4 Firmware.

From all i know, they are not compatible. So it won’t work with reprogramming either. But maybe you are already aware of that?

I have a v6 and I am also thinking about flashing the v4 unlocked bios, is there a safe way to verify that the bios won’t brick the laptop?

As far as i know, there is no v6 as of today…

Please refer to this thread if you want to find your version: https://techtablets.com/forum/topic/v4-or-v5/

“Safe” is relativ when it comes to flashing the bios…

But i can confirm that the way described here and in the other thread works to flash from v5 down to v4.

I did it just minutes ago and Laptop is running with unlocked bios v4.

Great… So there is no way to make the keyboard working on V4.5. V5 bios wont work either? Think not if V4 bios works on V5.

But V3 has same bios tag… I had V3(?) before V4.5. It got bad touchpad and no ssd slot, but ac-wifi and fast emmc.
