I have an Actiontec adapter and had no problem connecting to it via WiFi

On the Hi8, Miracast appears only to work in Android.

    To enable:

Go to Settings – Display – Cast Screen

You will probably see “no nearby devices were found”

Press the “3 vertical dots” settings icon in the top right of the screen (under the Battery & Time indicators).

This will give you the option to “Enable Wireless Display”

You should then be able to see available displays to connect to.

NOTE: Miracast/WiDi does not work in Windows. The Intel graphics chip does not appear to support WiDi (tried the Intel WiDi update tool and it failed). I could only get DLNA to work to a TV via WIFI.

Ignore my last post about Miracast/Wireless Display in windows. It does work on the Hi8. I was able to figure out that the Cisco VPN client I had installed had removed the “connect to wireless display” option.
