October 27, 2015 at 6:34 am #14278<p style=”text-align: left;”>My i10 usb port doesnt work after an update by windows 8.1. It was working fine. Now when plugged in, it only supplies power but the tablet doesnt even read the usb device. Any solution to this?</p>
October 27, 2015 at 6:40 am #14280Sven, can i trouble you to take a screenshot of the device manager for the universal serial bus controller of your working tablet?
I believe this is a driver problem but i need to see which driver is the correct one. An example is attached. Thanks for your help.

I tried two different keyboards for the i10 which work on my other i10 running Windows 10. The Windows 8.1 i10 is the problematic one. I am able to use a Bluetooth keyboard with touchpad on the Win 8.1 i10.
January 24, 2016 at 3:46 am #23492I bought this Cube i10 for my daughter and the USB stops working all the time. The keyboard and mouse dont work either unless you install a bunch of update starting from scratch
I believe there is a new image we can install … any info would be appreciated.
January 24, 2016 at 2:57 pm #23512The keyboard on my Windows 10 i10 stopped working. I ran all of the power out of the battery and then held the power button a few seconds. Plugged in the charger (round connector) and waited a few minutes. Powered up and the USB and keyboard were working normally again. I tried the same thing on my older Win 8.1 i10 and that did not fix it. The keyboard and large USB don’t work so I use the small USB and Bluetooth keyboard on it.
February 14, 2016 at 11:37 pm #26013Meaning of the landlord is to position the conductive pads remove this circle, you can solve some of the big mouth and a standard USB failures, because the factory, the workers posted to the conductive pads are too close to the pin next to the manifold, causing the chip short circuit resulting in failure of a large USB plug any device does not recognize, so get rid of the pad or move about the location, so it does not touch the manifold next to it.Great usb bad promising self-repaired, disassembled will find a contact with the conductive cotton to other components on a small usb, causing a short circuit! Removing conductive cotton, cotton swab to wipe more than glue, to solve! This method is derived from the CUBE exchange groupAttachments:

March 25, 2016 at 5:27 pm #30855ok to fix the Usb short, we must open the back panel of the unit…
i don’t find any web page with a “how to” open I10 tablet

April 13, 2016 at 8:01 pm #33348I did it with small screw driver to release all the clips arround the screen plastic, its easier than I thought.
removing the sticker solved the usb issue, but the keyboard case still not responding, I wonder how can I know what is defected, the tablet or the keyboard?
May 16, 2016 at 8:46 pm #37588I removed the tape as described in other posts but it did not fix. The only thing I’ve found is a temporary fix. If I disconnect the battery for a few minutes then reconnect and power up with cover on or off the large USB and keyboard cover will work fine for a random amount of time. It may be a few days or until the next restart of Windows.
In my case it doesn’t seem to be drivers since everything works for a while and I can get it to work again by unplugging the battery. It doesn’t stop or hasn’t so far in mid session but only when restarting Windows or powering up the tablet.
July 1, 2016 at 11:56 am #42394More information on my i10. It seems to be a problem from using an AC adapter with the round connector. I removed the back of the i10 and disconnected the battery for a few minutes then reconnected and replaced the back and powered on. The large USB port and keyboard in the case are now working. I am charging the battery only with the small USB port now.
I have two of the i10’s, one on Windows 8.1 and the other 10 and both are doing fine using the large USB and keyboard case if I charge the battery only with the small USB port.
September 26, 2016 at 5:54 am #50688I have the same problem wit my i10. How to open the body, without damaged it?
September 26, 2016 at 1:39 pm #50801I use a guitar pick but other thin plastic tools should work too.
