I just received a Hi12 dual boot z8350 (from banggood). I want to clean out the Android OS of any bloatware etc. Is it OK to perform a factory reset from within Android?

I’m asking because I’ve read it’s definitely not OK to do. “Reset” from within the Windows OS.

Also, what’s the simplest way to be sure the windows OS hasn’t had bloat/malware added? Is there a simple way to factory reset the Windows OS?

Help appreciated. Love this site and the YouTube channel. I’m hooked on Cube’s and Chuwi’s now!

    Hi,

I have the Z8300 version and about 6 months ago did a factory reset so issues. Just make sure in Windows to only format the Windows drive when it asks (If it asks)

Android factory reset also when fine 1 month ago. Didn’t touch Windows.

Why did you mention formatting of the windows drive? Is that related to the factory reset of the Android OS somehow? Otherwise I think you said the Android factory reset works fine and doesn’t effect windows…. <confused>

Oh sorry, I meant it doesn’t effect Windows.
