Hi, flashing bios updates is always risky. Run it from a bootable flash drive, wit ha full battery and the charger plugged in to be on the safe side.

If it stops and has no error, type exit. If it has an error, don’t power off or exit, flash again if you can until there is no error. And never power off during an update or pull out the flash drive, you’ll brick it then for sure.

Can you use the keyboard dock while flashing the bios or do you need a USB OTG?

I suspect that the keyboard dock’s USB ports are not bootable.  I tried a bootable CD in my portable DVD drive, plus a bootable flash drive.  I don’t have an OTG cable yet, so haven’t been able to try any other ports. EDIT: The dock’s USB ports ARE bootable – I hadn’t properly created the bootable flash drive, but later did it just fine.

Thanks for your replies. So you need an usb otg to flash properly? And which has the most high success rate? Keyboard usb ports, micro usb or type C? Aand, last question, if you brick your device, since the bios won’t be there anymore, there is no chance of reflashing android/windows?
