    Hi,

Welcome to the forum. There is a risk it’s a slower brand of eMMC, these tablets can be a lottery. Since I haven’t got the 64GB model, I can’t common on that. Maybe there is a 64GB owner here that could post a benchmark of there eMMC with crystaldiskmark?

    Thank you for replying Chris.

In the post I linked one of the comments actually did provide the read and write speed of his Chuwi. When comparing that with your model does it not indicate speed difference or the ROMs?

Thanks Zellot, That is slower than the 32GB one https://techtablets.com/chuwi-vi10/review/

DO you feel it to be slow or sluggish at times? Or is it not even noticeable?

Yes the numbers between the 32 you listed and my 64 are a bit different but I haven’t noticed it to be slow at all. Truthfully its a lot faster than I expected for being a relatively cheap Chinese tablet.

I’m quite happy with it. Even got the official MS upgrade to Windows 10 notification last night so waiting to see how that is.

EDIT: I decided to rerun the test with a version of CrystalDiskMark that was closer in version to what was used for the 32GB unit.. It was tested under 3.0.2 and I’ve run this under 3.0.4

Thanks for the retest. These figures are actually better than the 32GB model. lol, I guess that settles it I’m going fro the 64GB model.

Also this si a bit off topic but can you please let me know if you are in UK or USA or any other? And whichj website did you buy it from ? and did you pay any custom duties or impot tax on this?

    Thanks

Hi there, I got my tablet from the honesty team on aliexpress.com I am in the uk and chose the DHL express option. I ordered on a Monday morning. DHL collected on feom the seller on thursday night and cleared customs on the Saturday morning. Delivery happened on Tuesday because the driver DHL use in my area is hopeless, it should have been there on the Monday. I only had to pay DHL £3.86 for customs ans processing charges. That was because my seller marked the value as a test tablet value $30.00

Those speeds are good. Some of the BWIN drives in tablets I have reviewed like the Chuwi Hi8 are 60 read and 40 write (Seq), 4k randoms in the 1-2mb range..ouch! Now that is slow.

Lucky, even if it’s a keyboard valued at 29,99 usd, I still have to pay DHL here in Spain 15 euro processing fee + 21% tax on the value + shipping cost. It’s down right criminal! I’ve spent a small fortune in DHL, if it wasn’t for them getting the new releases a good 10 days before other shipping like PostNL or Singapore post I wouldn’t use them.

FedEx are even worse they inspect everything and never go from declared values but want real invoices. I had a pack sit in Mardid customs Fedex for a week. Hopeless service here in Spain. When I’m back in NZ I get the tablets free of taxes and in 2-3 days from China 🙂

Hi I’m in the US . I order it through AliExpress  DT “Digihero Technology” and got the 64GB tablet with keyboard case for $205 with free EMS shipping. It took exactly 10 days to arrive and the only issue was the plastic cover on the keyboard case touchpad was missing due to manufacturer error. Seller tried to get the part and couldn’t so ultimately gave me a partial refund of the keyboard case price. No import or customs taxes were paid as they indicate a low dollar value on the packaging.

Thats great, thanks for letting me know. I’ll ask my supplier to do the same.

Thank you. The store you mentioned has it about £20 more expensive than gearbest but from your experience with teh partial refund I think they are trustworthy and I might go with them despite them being expensive.

    Thanks

Have a look in the device manager under disk drives or download and use HWinfo32
