Not required on the new Apollo Lake laptops as of late, all of them seem to now use decent copper heatsinks. All of the EZBook 3 Pro’s do.

You could add a 1mm thin thermal pad between the rear and copper heatsink to help a little if disabling the power limits. Correct. If you disable the power limits in the bios the software TDP mod is not required. You have it already set to unlimited power.

    great

thanks chris! just bought this off gearbest

saw two comments today saying the seller said its not got the m.2 door but i assume you can still upgrade it “inconveniently” by removing the back panel. Although that would mean its not the v4 model. fingers crossed!

I asked gearbest after buying it for two things: if it is the latest V4 revision with m.2 slot, ips screen and precision touchpad and also when my order is going to be shipped. The answer was “it is the latest version of the device” , no more info about the shipping nor the characteristics.
