So it has been bugging me that there is no straight forward way to just install never versions of the graphics driver on this thing. I went and found a driver package for the Meegopad T04 which also uses Z8300 (intel’s easily downloaded braswell drivers won’t install despite the same graphics hardware and I was not in the mood to try to figure out how to modify the inf to include the correct hwids yet).
I installed the ones from the T04 package which worked fine, but were even older than the ones on my X98 Plus… now, you’ve all tried to “check for updates” from device manager I’m sure, and it tells you you’re on the latest driver every time. Well, after installing the older T04 driver I “checked for updates” and this time it installed driver version 20.19.15.4331 dated the end of november 2015. Now honestly I don’t even remember any more what the driver version was before but I don’t remember it being as recent as November?
Could be I’m fooling myself, check your driver versions please?
