Been looking for a tablet and I keep coming back to the Teclast X98 Plus (4gb ram 64gb). My main things Im looking for in a tablet are great battery life, Windows 10 (only or dual boot), streaming netflix movies, internet browsing (with numerous tabs open) and maybe some light excel spreadsheet work and also possibly some light gaming. Looking for opinions on why or why not this tablet is the right one for me to purchase. Thanks.
November 12, 2016 at 5:35 pm #56836Not worth it for you, or anybody else. SD card slot will stop working in a matter of days, screen very easy to scratch, bluescreens in Windows when it updates… Great tablet on paper that becomes a major disappointment over time.
November 13, 2016 at 5:41 pm #56873No. SD card slot has problems, Windows 10 is very slow, Bluetooth and Wifi are bad. And NO SUPPORT from Teclast to fix any problems.
November 14, 2016 at 12:01 am #56892Also, battery life is quite poor (less than 4 hours). I never would have bought it if I had knew about all this issues before.
November 14, 2016 at 6:55 am #56900I bought mine from banggood in Feb. The sd card did not give any problems until last week. Now both android and win10 partitions cannot detect the sdcard. I am using mirek V3 for android and win10 sd drivers have been down graded to unsigned win8 versions.
Most likely a hardware issue with the sdcard slot.
There is no more support from mirek or spzjulien for the android partition.
Best to stay away from this teclast brand as, like many have stated, you will get no support or fix from Teclast.
November 14, 2016 at 10:17 am #56908No. Really. Do not buy this piece of crap!
After 1 year the battery is almost dead, there are big SD card issues, no support (NO SUPPORT!) from Teclast, unexistant warranty, risk of bricking your device by only updating windows, etc.
November 14, 2016 at 2:18 pm #56928Ok, thanks for the feedback. I’ll stay away from the Teclast X98 Plus and search for another one that fits my needs. Any recommendations? The main thing im looking for is battery life, but still need it to function correctly without a lot of issues.
