You can only charge via the type c port.  The cable does need to be pushed in far enough to click.  If you’ve damaged the socket (rather than the cable – the supplied cable is best poor, I broke the cable within 10 mins!) then the socket may have been pushed back into the case and the cable can’t connect fully.

Could be. I noticed the connection is bad compared to other devices of mine. Could totally be the usb-c port is of bad quality and it easily breaks. Sadly you would need to try a warranty then and ask for replacement.

Also not sure what you mean with clicking? Mine doesn’t click at all 🙂 I just can stick it in. USB-c don’t have a click mechanism I think.

My iWork 10 Flagship Type-C didn’t charge either. I didn’t think the cable was the problem, since it was detected. Still, I tried another cable, bought especially, and lo and behold, the tablet did charge.

    Worth trying?

Do you know where the cable was bought from ? I have ordered a cheap type c  one from eBay so hopefully that could work. Although if I knew a more expensive one worked I would order that. Just tight and don’t like spending money ;). Also what power plug are you using ? The cheap looking one with that came with it is now in the bin due to it over heating 🙂

    thanks in advance.

It doesn’t really matter though which cable you use, concerning it could damage your device, because the usb-c port on this tablet isn’t usb 3.1 and has no usb power delivery support.

I bought a charger and a cable from Aukey.
