Does anyone know how to do this? Or is it not possible? If I connect a bootable USB drive via a powered hub, the UEFI “BIOS” doesn’t seem to see it although it is available in Windows. TIA.
March 8, 2018 at 1:17 pm #140387It should work from the bios, with a keyboard plugged in it, hit Esc or del to enter the bios then from the save & exit menu launch your external drive if it’s formatted GPT it should boot for Linux for example.

Thanks for the input. I’ve changed the usb drive from MBR to GPT and was hopeful that would be the solution but the UEFI “BIOS” still doesn’t see it as a bootable option. I’m unsure as to what you mean by “from the save & exit menu launch your external drive” as that doesn’t seem to be an option there.
TIA
