After giving my one-month old X98 Air 3G to a student, yesterday I bought a new one (C8j6) with native Windows 10 installed, but Android is still 4.4.
The stock ROM has an HDMI Option which you can change the HDMI mode but I did not try changing the mode. I did not like too many bloatware so I just flashed it with Mirek190’s V5.0. I did not know what are new compared to V4.1, can anyone advise?
However, I lost the HDMI Option after flashing the ROM – well the HDMI output still works but there is no HDMI Option menu.
The Windows 10 installed was a Chinese (Taiwan) version, and it is laggy compared to the English version, which I upgraded on my previous X98 Air 3G (the one that gave to a student), so I would to do an English version Windows 10 clean install, but worry about I cannot activate Windows license. Could anyone please also advise?
Many thanks.

September 23, 2015 at 4:39 pm #11834Hello July,
When upgrading my tablet from Win 8.1 to Win 10, windows system told me that I don’t have enough memory space to install win 10 and give to me the option that I can use a micro SD card memory to install win 10. I choose this option and insert a 32 GB micro SD card into my tablet. Installation of win 10 run thru smoothly.
My tablet is a Dual Os system. It runs Windows 8.1 and Android 4.44 . After upgrading my tablet from win 8.1 to win 10 (with reserved windows icon), my tablet doesn’t work anymore with Windows OS. It tried to boot up, then has a black screen. When I switch it to Android 4.44 system, it works perfectly.
Can you tell me what is the problem? How to solve it? Can I reinstall Win 10? How to do it? Or Can I rollback to the previous OS and how to perform the rollback?
Thank you very much for your help.
September 26, 2015 at 3:42 am #11946Hi,
I think I also had similar problem before. I just did a clean install Windows 10. However, you may be prompted to enter a product key, which you should have captured with Belarc Advisor. You can skip entering product key during Win10 installation, but I think eventually you have to enter it. If you have not captured the product key, I can share mine with you to see if that works.
