    Hey guys, i just read about a hyperthreading errata in skylake and kaby lake processors. apparently there is already a microcode update that fixes the errata, but we need a new bios/uefi with the new microcode for that. does anyone know if there is any bios/uefi update for the mix plus from cube? for linux there should probably be soon a standalone microcode update, but not for windows.

    The problem happens on scenarii designed to provoke the bug. It should not happen in realife situation. But yes an update would be nice.

    And I don’t think possible that some future virus/ransomware are build to take advantage of the bug… plus they would be detected by antivirus first.

    The microcode update will be provided via Windows Update. Linux users have already in the non-free linux-firmware package.
