Hi, I recently bought a keyboard for Cube i7 Stylus and it doesn’t seem to work. It is not detected by tablet when I plug it in. Banggood asked me if I have updated the firmware on the keyboard. Is this a valid question? Does the keyboard appear under the system hardware when it’s plugged in? Does it need some additional drivers in order to work? This is the keyboard: http://www.banggood.com/Magnetic-Touchpad-Keyboard-Dock-For-Cube-I7-Stylus-Tablet-p-995351.html
The firmware for the keyboard? Very strange question. Perhaps they mean ‘driver’? But even then… I own the Cube i7 Stylus myself and my keyboard -probably the same as yours- functioned right out of the box. A driver for the keyboard is automatically installed by MS or Cube has it integrated in the Windows 10 version that is installed on the ssd when you receive the tablet. The driver for the keyboard cannot possibly be the problem. Why don’t you ask THEM (Banggood) for an explication about the firmware?
It seems to me that they don’t want to pay you back or send you a new one… So hang in there!
I asked for the instructions for updating firmware/drivers. I don’t see how I could even plug in the keyboard into anything as I don’t have right kind of usb cable (usb-a to usb-a).
They wanted me to take the keyboard and tablet to a local repair shop for them to check if it’s the keyboard of tablet. Well that would probably cost more than the keyboard is worth. Naturally they didn’t offer to pay for that in the message – just a suggestion ‘If you could’. Well I can’t.
