I have got the very same feeling and I must be honest I was somewhat disappointed as well. I don’t know what’s causing it either. With the search and defender disabled it still feels slow at some points. Starting Firefox takes very long disk speed seems to be up the par compared to the reviews. Speedtest on internet only gave 10Mb sec at best, with the WiFi drivers forced to upgrade to the ones Chris provided in his download section raised this to roughly 30Mb/sec. What does the Intel dynamic platform and thermal framework setting do? I notice no difference from lowest 1 to highest 5 settings in the energy management.

February 6, 2016 at 10:37 am #25129Rene can you give a link for the wlan drivers you mentioned? I can’t find them.
I think I will start looking for android if I don’t find a way to get rid of lags… some times I cant even use firefox or facebook…

Hi Samuel, what tweaks did you do? Is it the ones found in the x98 plus tricks/tips? My dual boot x98 plus should be arriving next week and I want to make sure I’m prepared! So excited!
