Yesterday I flashed the latest BIOS for my Hi8 Pro and noticed something unusual. When I booted into BIOS, the Project Version was showing as D2D3_Hi8Pro.230_0510 x64. Notice the x64 suffix at the end. It means that the BIOS is 64 bit capable. To confirm this I created a 64 bit Windows 10 USB installer and tried to boot from it. As I expected, the tablet recognized my pen drive but it crashed at the setup screen and showed me ACPI_BIOS_ERROR.
Then it automatically restarted and booted back to the pre-installed Windows 10 OS. I rebooted the tab and went to BIOS again. But this time I was surprised to see that the Project Version was showing just D2D3_Hi8Pro.230_0510. That x64 suffix was no longer there.
After experimenting a few more time I found another strange thing. If I boot into Android and then reboot back to BIOS, it will show Project Version as D2D3_Hi8Pro.230_0510 x64 . On the other hand, if I boot into Windows and then reboot back to BIOS, it will show Project Version as just D2D3_Hi8Pro.230_0510.
So, does it means that Android is using 64 bit BIOS ?
