I reinstalled my tablet a while ago with the latest firmware on the English site, which was V1.01 (forgot the date appended at the end, but it was uploaded 2017-07-28). Since then, it was OTA updated to V1.03_20170828. No further updates since.

But on the Chinese site, there is V1.06 uploaded on 2017-08-30… Does anyone have any experience with this version? Rather than updated Android, I’m mostly interested in whether the firmware updated and the microSD ejection bug on Windows was fixed or not.

I read somewhere that the full build name is V1.06_20170824, which actually contains an older date than mine… Basically I am interested in the differences, but will only bother reinstalling if the Windows microSD ejection bug was fixed. Thanks to all who constructively contribute, I hope we get to the bottom of this.

Hi, I tried both of them (v1.03 english, v.06 chinese).

I prefer v1.03 english because it has better stand-by consumption. By other hand, it was difficult obtain write permission with sdcard NTFS format,

Oh I see, Android was updated with ability to write on NTFS partitions, correct?

But Windows stayed the same I presume? Unless it became Chinese only…

Lastly, I’m guessing the only way to switch (outside of OTA) is to reinstall the whole tablet? Probably the case since you wipe the drive as soon as you flash Android if I remember correctly…

    Thanks for sharing your experience!
