Once more, GearBest did it!
It’s the n-th time someone receive a faulty tablet from this shop.
Yes, you have to deal with them to arrange a devolution… they’ll offer you to send another one for 150€ or something like that.
Good luck.
April 11, 2016 at 6:09 pm #33064I have the same problem… they offer a 30$ cashback… LOL

April 12, 2016 at 7:20 am #33108I have the same issue, multiple stripes on display, also from Gearbest.
April 27, 2016 at 8:49 am #35241Same issue, five colored stripes on display. Some are flickering. Bought from TinyDeal. Maybe weakness of display controller from Teclast.
April 27, 2016 at 10:57 am #35251Same issue here, bought from Geekbuying.
The lines started to appear after a while. When I started the tablet for the very first time, there were no dead lines – but immediately after booting (Win or android) a few lines appeard. After some time of usage there were about 12 lines, sometimes flickering.
Afer shutting down the device for some days, and starting it again, there were no lines in the bootscreen, but after booting the lines came up again.I contacted Customer Service and they told me to send back the device.
April 27, 2016 at 11:05 am #35253Hello. I too received a tablet with Gearbest. And also with a screen problem. First, the screen worked by pressing the screen frame. Then the screen stopped working. The screen backlight works. Apparently global bug tablets. When connected through HDMI image is available on the TV screen.
Sorry, I translated through on Google Translate. 🙂
April 27, 2016 at 3:42 pm #35271Gearbest transferred me 50$ and i am going to replace my display.

May 3, 2016 at 12:09 am #35862I bought my Teclast X98Plus 3g from Gearbest, and received it last week. These lines began to appear after only 5 minutes new out of box. After half hour now have HUNDREDS OF LINES! They are permanent on screen. I Reset tablet three times, no help. I contacted Gearbest the same day I received my tablet. They stalled for time by making several requests for photos, then ignored 2 separate requests from me for an RMA, causing further delays. Only after I made a Third strongly worded request did they send me an RMA, but they still refused to pay for the return shipping. Alternatively, instead of the RMA they offered me an insulting Store Credit of $20, not even a cash refund of $20! Gearbest.com knows that they are shipping defective tablets, and according to posts on slickdeals.net, they are imposing very restrictive terms to return the defective tablet (ie can Not use a tracking shipping service such as UPS, DHL, but must use regular mail which cannot be tracked. They then later claim that they never received the returned tablet, blaming Chinese customs for the loss! Gearbest’s shady business practices are nothing more than outright Fraud. I have seen many references to their habit of shipping used or defective merchandise; then maneuvering out of their 45 day Returns policy by being slow to respond to RMA requests, knowing that shipping to China usually takes up to 30 days. This is why Gearbest has been banned on Slickdeals.net.
