Yeah, same issue here, has any one figured a way to flash linux on this device?
August 12, 2017 at 8:50 am #70492have you tried the linuxium version of ubuntu? ive noticed that his iso seems to work where alot of the stock ones dont. using the refind boot manager in place of grub makes a huge difference (solves the freeze at boot of the usb). works with a couple of ubuntu based distros.
August 14, 2017 at 1:46 pm #70556Hey there Sigma,
I tried the Linixium version of several Ubuntu versions and it still didn’t work so back to the drawing board.

August 26, 2017 at 10:55 pm #71031ah yes, without the legacy option in the bios its always a hit and miss. i still dont get what great advantage UEFI brings anyway – windows itself is still the weakest link when it comes to viruses / malware.

really there is a solution for dual boot on tbook air netbook
distro antergos
on bios page set secureboot disable
delete all keys (going to setup mode) save and exit
start install antergos from bios page (boot override)
delete old boot/efi partition and create new sise 768 mb with antergos install driver
finish installation and reboot
open terminal
use refind (there are instructions on web)
copy usr/share/refind at boot/efi/EFI /boot
reboot(before installation make usb stick fat32 going from bios to UEFIshell and copy EFI\Microsoft folder to usb and later after installation recopy from usb to EFI folder from shell for restart windows on refind menu selection)
basic steps
until it finishes installation
you need to block windows do not run them
it may take a second time to repeat all the steps
basic step delete old (boot\efi partition) and create new*until refind install on Boot folder of boot\efi partition*
if all good…… make a copy on usb stick the folder EFI boot\efi partition with UEFIshell
for future (not need repeat installation) just copy the folder EFI from usb stick.
i hope help because this netbook with so stranger bios
elaborate and multi-hour procedures for solution
dont try selection linux on bios page because bios hang…. and then …….
