Linx Ultraslim 14

I have always found the reviews here really useful, so I was hoping someone may have some ideas about a new laptop I came across in my local supermarket here in the UK – Linx UltraSlim 14

It seems to look somewhat like an EzBook 3 Pro with a full metal body, FHD screen, Pentium N4200, and with space to add an SSD.

For £250 with the UK’s consumer protections seems like a good deal.

Anyone got one? Any other thoughts?

Just looking at it I think it’s the exact same build as the T-Bao Tbook4…

It could well be – just with a different config – that’s what I’m trying to work out!

Is it possible to add more RAM to these laptops? I fear 4GB is just too underpowered, and I have a few sticks lying around that I could use.

No, you almost certainly wouldn’t be able to increase the RAM, it’s soldered to the board. Doesn’t seem to mention IPS screen. It seems to have dual band WiFi n but not ac. Buy it, see how you get on, easy enough to take it back within the first 30 days. Just make sure the keyboard doesn’t miss key inputs and check if the screen is IPS. 4GB would be fine if you are just browsing.
