    Model:  Teclast Tbook 10 S

    Type:  10.1″ Cherry Trail tablet

    Display:  NO PWM (hurray!!!!)

Note:  I don’t actually own this device, but presence/absence of PWM in the LCD was tested here (scroll down to the “Display” section):

BTW, for anyone with a device with PWM display, what you can do is buy a sheet of self-adhesive 5% VLT tint.  Apply the tint over the screen, then increase the brightness to 100%.  Sure, the battery will drain faster, but sure beats having to look at a 100% bright screen every other millisecond while you’ve set the dimness to 25%…

HOW TO TEST A DEVICE FOR PWM:

Wave a pen or your hand over the screen at 25% or less brightness. If the resulting motion blur looks smooth, NO PWM.

But if the motion blur looks like multiple repeating pattern, the LCD uses PWM to dim the screen.
