Hello everyone, so today i received the oroginal leather keyboard for teclast tbook 10. It seems Teclast choosed to go for a standard keyboard like this one, after they encounter troubles with the alloy built in battery one. Anyway, here is my little « review » because there is some stuff to say about it.
First, the design, it is a pretty average keyboard, we are used to it now. Stil it’s made of good quality leather, the touch pad is quite large, (8 cm X 5.5 cm), it has a physical right and left clic (wich is good to see), there is 3 leds on the touchpad. One for Caps Lock, one that indicates when the charger is plugged in (on the keyboard, we will see that later). There is 4 rubber feet, the 10 pins docking support with the 2 plastics things (you see what i mean). The keyboard touch felling is nice, there is some shortcuts (basic Fn key, touch pad on off etc).
You can tell it is an original keyboard by the Teclast logo on it.
There is on the right side a micro USB port as well as an on off switch, (to enable/disable the keyboard). At first when i bought it, i really thought it was able to charge the tablet, or use it as OTG, this way i could use the micro USB port on the tablet for OTG or charging (since on the tablet itself you can’t use micro usb OTG while charging with DC jack). But i was disapointed, because the micro USB on the keyboard only charges the tablet beetween 0.10 and 0.5a !!! Completely USELESS. As you can see, while using the usb ports of the tab, it hits the 1.9a easy.
Plus, what’s even more disapointing, is that on the micro USB on the tablet itself, you can’t even use a basic hub (OTG+charge) like on the other tablets with only one micro USB ports.
So with this tablet, you really can’t charge it while using OTG, it’s a shame considering the fact that it failed the 3 ways i tried it… This is it !

Good review btw.

In my opinion, teclast stopped to produce it because they encounter too many defects and they simply go for this one. Quite desapointing, but it would be fine to me if only i could use DC charging and OTG, becausei am kind of obligated to use a usb wifi dongle since the wifi signal is extremely poor on top of the fact that my walls are super thick.
