Yet
I will assume this is a “yes”. Thanks Virgo. Good to know that the long press to power on the unit is normal.
April 25, 2017 at 11:35 am #65987HI Carl, could you give a practical comparison between mix plus and surface pro, how’s the performance, battery life, ease of use… Thanksalot
April 26, 2017 at 3:58 am #66072Hi Cri. Ill do my best to provide a comparison. Here it goes
- Weight wise the surface pro 4 takes the cake. It’s very light. The mix plus is on the heavy side
- Battery life the Mix Plus has a slight edge. Note though that I use the Surface Pro 4 for work while the Mix Plus is mainly for my wife and serves as back up home PC for me.
- Screen its a tie. Both screens are good. Just depends on one’s preference really.
- Ease of use, very close as well. The SP4 is very easy to turn on. Just a short press powers it up while the mix plus’ power button requires a 3-5 sec press. Keyboard, Ill go with the one on the mix plus as it has a better, sturdier feel to it. The mix plus has type C which the SP4 sorely lacks.
- Windows 10 on both devices are pretty stable.
- The SP4 rarely heats up unlike the mix plus. When i first used the mix plus to project to our TV via an HDMi adapter plugged into the keyboard’s USB 2 port, the unit became quite hot. When i connected the HDMi adapter to the micro USB port it was not so hot anymore
- Th SP4 i have has 8GB ram. Honestly with normal work load not much difference between the SP4 and the Mix plus. Pretty sure when a good number of applications are open and being used the benefits of more RAM will be felt.
- Camera for both are decent.
Hope this helps

Yes and the unit became pretty hot. Too hot on the upper left side of the tablet in fact. And the trackpad also became a bit unresponsive when a device was connected to the keyboard’s USB port.
