I have had an issue with charging since the beginning. I have not bothered much about it as until recently it did not cause much inconvenience, but there have been some occasions recently when it has proved problematic. The issue is that charging will not start up while the computer is in use, so if the battery is running low I have to re-boot. And this has now turned out to be at an awkward moment some times. I know the ‘system’ can start charging when the computer is being used, because on a few occasions it has started to work correctly.

I am also fairly clear that this is a Windows issue, because charging is as it should be after I boot into Android. Has anyone else had this difficulty? Can someone suggest what editing of Windows 10 will resolve it?

Most likely a charger issue, had similar issues, changed the charger and it’s working on both os

I have now tried 4 chargers / adapters, 3 similar  including the original and one ‘alien’. Only the latter worked (with charging re-started during computer use when switched on), so many thanks for that. Also with the help of BatteryInfoView and BatteryMonitor Gadget I have discovered 2 of the ‘original’ chargers along with the blue light indicate charging is on when it in fact is not!  With BattryInfo open I could see even that reported charging on, when the current received was zero and the cumulative charge remained constant at the same %.

I now need to check the ‘alien’ for reliability, and welcome advice on getting a more satisfactory charger.
