Hi searching for a Tablet preferred 10″ or bigger with the strongest CPU possible in this price range.
So that I can come as close as possible to those requirements:
CPU: 3.0 GHz Intel or equivalent AMD processor or better
RAM: 1 GB of System RAM or better
GPU: 256 MB video RAM, with DirectX 9 Vertex Shader / Pixel Shader 2.0 support (Nvidia 6800 or better)
DX: DirectX 9.0c
OS: Windows XP Service Pack 2 / Windows Vista
Store: 8 GB Available Hard Drive SpaceAugust 28, 2016 at 8:33 pm #48324Mhz or Ghz are meaningless these days… In fact they have been for comparing cpus~20 years
How about the cube i7 book – intel skylake – core m 6y30 – up to 1.5 although there is a turbo mode.
4GB RAM , 64 GB SSD storage.
GPU RAM – I forget what the default in the BIOS is 256MB?(it’s shared RAM with the system) but I think the BIOS allows you to adjust it up to 1GB
Windows 10, Direct x 12 support. H265 codec support.
Okay It’s more in the 300 Euro Range but the Core M 6y30 and the intel 515 GPU are a lot better than what’s on offer in the Atom range.
Otherwise there’s some second hand ‘tablets’ out there with OLD (generation 4?) core i3/i5, So their power consumption is just going to be INSANELY BAD. Plus with their age you’re staring at a new battery.
Otherwise yeah I get the feeling that you haven’t been in the market for hardware for a while.
3GHz on a tablet? Not going to happen. Such a high frequency would just burn power and produce quite a bit of heat.
For small devices that are power concious and don’t use fans to cool themselves…
1GB RAM ? 2GB is pretty much the minimum for Windows tablets.
But let me tell you right now… For the 64 bit version of Windows which all these tablets are running… Do yourself a favour and get 4GB (like the cube i7 book)
August 28, 2016 at 10:12 pm #48329That’s because that are requirements for an old game I want to run and not the specs of the Tablet itself.
Though it would be clear with the OS as Windows xp and the NVIDIA 6800, I am well aware that no normal tablet got a CPU stable at 3 GHz, sadly there was no other information beside the clock rate of the CPU, anyways thanks for the help bought the Cube i9 two days ago on a flash sale. -
