MacBook does not play WMV videos

Friends dropped me a video showing a car breakdown, they asked to see the video so I could tell them how to fix the breakdown. But the problem is that they sent me the video in WMV format, and I can not turn on this video on my MacBook. I don’t know how to solve this problem.

But if you don’t know how to do that, the easiest way to play wmv on mac is just to download a new video player that can open this format. You will be able to watch the video and help your friends with the car breakdown. But I think it is hard to understand what exactly the breakdown is if you look through the video, it is better to be near the car.
