I can’t help, yet, as mine is still on its way… but I’m curious what kind of charging speed you are getting.
Generally speaking, devices draw only as much power as they are designed to and there is no way to force more in. But devices that use USB ports to charge have a few extra layers of complications as different manufacturers use different tricks to get more power through USB spec stuff. USB spec is officially .5 amp on USB2 and that probably won’t even charge a running device of this size.
The Teclast ships with a 2.5 amp power supply, if I recall correctly, and is probably only sending 1.8-2 amps to the device. Most random USB chargers I have lying around are .5 to 1a, so with the newer devices that need more power I always have to use the charger that came with it. Or a newer charging device that is designed for higher output.
The x98s have an 8 amp hour battery pack so (ignoring inefficiency and probable voltage differences between USB input and the battery packs) the supplied charger should get you from 0 to 100% power in around 4 hours if the tablet is off. Quite a bit longer if the tablet is on and running at full tilt.

With the charger it comes with, it will charge at 2.1-2.3 amps. Or roughly 12 watts. Which is quite fast.
From any other charger however, if it supports 2 amps output, often this tablet will only charge at 2.5watts, thinking that it’s a usb port on a computer, or after unplugging and plugging in a couple of times, it’ll charge at 7-8watts.
I’ve found the charger it came with (with the supplied cable) is the fastest charger that you can use.
February 13, 2017 at 10:13 am #62133Hello everybody,
I start to become crazy now… My X98 Pro (K9C6) was working well but since yesterday it is very difficult to charge under Android.. that is detecting only “USB charging mode” and really not want to accept the power of my AC Power supply.. I checked and with others AC power (all 2.5 A. SAMSUNG and others…)… under android only keeping sloooow charging mode “USB Charging”..
BUT THE THING IS : if I switch to windows 10 mode It charges correctly… fast AC charging mode…
What went wrong in my android system ? I reinstalled it twice to factory settings… problem still there…
Any help or clue please ?
