Mi notebook pro Liquid Metal & LTE modem

Hi,

Sounds good, please post some pictures and before and after thermals if you can. I’ll be watching this thread for updates. As for the modem, it’s printed on the motherboard, that’s it, no hardware in the laptop. It lacks everything, I only mentioned it in a few videos because you can see that Xiaomi have or did have plans for an LTE version.

Obamo what were the results with the liquid metal? Did you apply it to the CPU and GPU? I’m getting my mi notebook pro and may be interested in doing the same thing. I assume you’re using Grizzly…

I heard that you were not meant to use liquid metal on an aluminium heatsink which would mean you shouldn’t apply it on this laptop as it eats through it. But I could be very wrong with that, I’m not the most savvy when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Love to know the results too. My repasted lowered temps 5 degrees C, so I imagine this would be even better. I was too scared to use liquid metal due to risk of causing a short.
