Hello. There are a few pages describing the process of opening up the Mi Pad 2 tablet and it looks fairly simple. But has anyone reported that the RAM can be removed and replaced with a higher capacity RAM or is it soldered in?

The DIYer in taobao provides RAM upgrade service. But it would be quite difficulty job I think.
