    Mic works fine in Android. Can record sound no problem. So I know the hardware is there and is functioning. When using Skype in Windows, my mic does not show up. Says no hardware available. Do I need to reinstall a driver or something?

    Just check your mic is enabled under sound settings as per attached pics
