microphone not working (driver?)

For some reason my microphone is not working after doing a clean install and using driver booster. Can anyone point me to the correct microphone driver? I downloaded all packages available under “Downloads” here but the automatic updates finds nothing and going through file by file always gave me an error.

By the way I am using the surface audio drivers (found elsewhere in this forum)

Have you checked under recording devices it’s not muted or lowered? Right click speaker icon in the tray.

I think the driver is part of the Realtek audio one. Must be a driver issue for sure if it was working before,

Hello Chris , can  you tell me if your microphone on windows works properly? If yes can you upload the driver that you use?
I have problem on this and i can not fix it. Thanks a lot.

It was working before the clean install, driver booster and surface audio driver…

It is not disabled or lowered in the settings. If someone can upload a driver or point me to one, i would be grateful. I am on a business trip and i cannot do a clean install now…
