I didn’t know about the issue, and updated by tablet last week with all Windows updates available and it’s still working, so it appears to be fixed.
others are reporting it to be safe now too. http://forum.chuwi.com/thread-1486-11-1.html
You should be safe now.

July 26, 2016 at 9:09 pm #44625If someone would be able to answer your question with certainty, he or she would have.
But apparently nobody here does.
So I suggest you ask this question on the Chuwi official forum.
July 27, 2016 at 2:22 am #44647it is solved.
Faulty firmware update was removed by Microsoft after it was reported by chuwi. The faulty firmware was compiled by “teclast” but it affected chuwi tablets since both manufacturers use some of the same components.
This was an issue about 2 months back.
July 27, 2016 at 8:39 am #44667There seems to be another Windows update causing issues. Today when I booted Windows I got the message about “Widows getting ready do not turn off” but then the blue screen with the scrolling circle started flashing on and off in an endless loop. Eventually I gave up and force powered off to boot Android and use the tablet. I’ve tried to boot Windows again but the same thing happens with blue flashing screen and desktop never loading.
Edit: I think I got a corrupted Windows update while connected to a public hotspot. Anyway I couldn’t get out of the Windows boot loop with blue flashing screen and scrolling circle so had to use the official Chuwi usb image to re-install Win 10. Problem now is it’s lost it’s activation so need to fix that.
July 29, 2016 at 4:53 pm #45041Well, I’ve had my Chuwi hi12 dualboot for about a week. It came with all the latest Bios and OS build from the Chuwi support site already installed so I didn’t have to mess with any of that. Out of the box Windows downloaded a ton of patches on first power on including one that was almost as big as a service pack. Everything installed fine and I have had no problems. Android side has not been any problem as well.
I think most of the posts you see of people killing their Chuwi’s are more launch time issues that have since been resolved because mine has worked beautifully. I also have the aluminum keyboard with it. Updates have been installing automatically since then and still no issues. I use both the windows side and android side equally since I’m on the road a lot for work.
Oh, and mine came from gearbest
