Has anyone been able to get Miracast / Intel WiDi working on Windows?
When I go Devices -> Add new device, it can’t find my Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter, even though the Intel WiDi compatibility program says that this hardware is compatible with WiDi.
If anyone else is having this problem, I managed to solve it by installing the Chuwi Hi8 Windows driver for Broadcom 802.11n, extracted from here https://mega.nz/#!dA8y3JpL!t25ytdn_rGUosjZtW-ej4SoBrYQPt2QwCZFo-SwjcII – and now my Chuwi Vi10 Pro (running Windows 8.1) can detect my Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter, yay!
I like the adapter. It’s not as responsive as micro HDMI output, but it’s pretty good for streaming videos. Haven’t tried gaming (and I don’t game) so can’t comment on that usage.
